S H I V E R .

It was 2 a.m. The morning sun was covered with think, smoky, and black clouds. It was foggy. Ironically, I woke up with a huge smile on my face and I was pumped for my trip to New York City. I also woke up really excited happy, jubilant, and was packing my clothes for this exciting trip.

I heard my mom yell, "GRACE! HURRY UP! We gotta catch a plane in 4 hours!" I was nervous and replied," Okay! Okay! Geesh!" Suddenly, when i was brushing my teeth, I felt a cold chill going down my spine.....

It felt chilly and i just thought the "chill" came from the weather. Maybe. Wait. Somehow, I knew it. It was a sign. A sign of something terrible was going to happen. A premonition? No, of course n0t. Later, i packed my stuff and was ready to leave and go to the airport.

My mom yelped, "HURRY! Your coach is waiting for you!" I was annoyed and hurried down the long stairway. I was going to NYC for the city championships for basketball. I was exhausted and was my ears were hurting because of my mom's yelling.

Suddenly, i felt it..... again. The cold chill. Somehow, I had a feeling inside of me that I was never coming back home again. It was a scary feeling. I never wanted to feel that "feeling" ever again. I got in the car fastest i could. It was cold. My hands were shivering. My mother drove slowly and she went through the fog and I could hear the rain drizzle slowing on the windshield.

I felt lonely. I called my best friend, Julie Kim. I called her with my Blackberry. The phone was ringing. I heard her say," Hi Grace!

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Credible or Not?
The governor in America, Arnold Schwarzenegger, handled with a big problem. The problem was that he was accused of harassing women on movie sets. He was accused by six women that he touched them in a sexual manner without their consent. He responds to the news and saying that it is "trash politics". Arnold then says he was being "playful" to women and not harassing them. But then later he admits that he was "rowdy" on movie sets but he thought it was all for fun. He finally states that he doesn't remember the things he was accused of.

Pathos is how a person attempts to obtain sympathy from the audience. Schwarzenegger tries to give pathos to the audience by the speeches he gives. Schwarzenegger states, "To those people that I have offended, I want to say to them, I am deeply sorry about that" (Schwarzenegger 4). By saying this, he makes the audience feel sorry for him and this portrays him as a honest person. The audience feels sympathy for him and the audience feels Arnold is a person who admits to his mistakes. This gives Arnold a "honest and bold" character because he had the guts to admit that he was wrong. He admits that he is not perfect and he uses the Propaganda technique called Plain Folks. He lowers himself to the common people and talks about how nobody is perfect and all people makes mistakes. Schwarzenegger declares, "So I want to say to you, yes I have behaved badly sometimes" (Schwarzenegger 4). By saying this, he admits that he has been "rowdy" on the movie sets and he admits that he behaved "badly" to people. He shows the audience that he is "growing up" with his childish mistakes. This makes the audience feel like he "matured" by admitting that he behaved badly in the past.

Schwarzenegger is not believable and trustworthy because he knows he did things wrong in the past but now he says he doesn't remember the things he did. His final statement was "I would say most of this is not true" (Schwarzenegger 6). There is evidence that he harassed women and one of them was Joy Browne, psychologist. She goes on a radio show and she tells the people that she got harassed by Schwarzenegger. But even when the evidence is showed to Schwarzenegger he still denies the fact the he harassed them. Before he apologizes to the people about his mistakes in the past, but he doesn't quite remember what he was apologizing for. Schwarzenegger just apologizes because he doesn't want people to think is a horrible person. Technically, he didn't give a honest apology because he just apologizes so he can cover up his reputation. He also keeps using the phrase "nobody is perfect" as in an excuse of his wrongdoings. Schwarzenegger should be a responsible person and take the consequences of his actions. He should admit that he was harassing women and learn from his mistake and give a sincere apology. So, this person's ethos is damaged. This person does not show a true side of him. Schwarzenegger just comes up with excuses and he does not confront the problem.
